Dr. Steven D. Chinn, DPM, MS, MBA, FACHE, CJCP, CPHQ, CPPS has more than 35 years of clinical and senior management experience in acute care, behavioral health, ambulatory, and integrated delivery care settings. Dr. Chinn was formerly a Joint Commission surveyor for the hospital, ambulatory, behavioral health care, and network programs, as well as a health plan evaluator for the California Department of Corporation.
Dr. Chinn has extensive hands-on experience with quality management, patient safety, risk management, medical staff affairs, infection control, and health care operations. He has previously served as Accreditation/Regulatory Officer at Stanford Health Care, chief quality officer roles in the Kaiser Permanente and Veteran Health Administration LPS Compliance. He has provided numerous presentations on hospital and ambulatory accreditation standards, performance improvement, patient safety, high reliability, and medical staff issues. He has provided consultation services throughout the United States and in France for academic, public, community and children medical centers, United States Department of Defense, Veteran Health Administration, and NASA.
