David Blahnik, CPM, PMP, CHSP, CHEP, has worked in the healthcare profession for more than 25 years, predominately in hospital construction design, code compliance and administration. Has developed an expertise assisting Psychiatric Hospitals with accreditation needs.
Mr. Blahnik’s experience in consulting includes Joint Commission Environment of Care, Life Safety, Emergency Management, CoP compliance under CMS Physical Environment rules, NFPA Life Safety Code and FGI Design and Construction of Hospitals. He has assisted organizations in the development of their Evidence of Standards Compliance, Statement of Conditions, and CMS Plan of Corrections.
Additionally, Mr. Blahnik has been trained as a Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program surveyor for Physical Environment and Life Safety under the following accreditation manual(s): Accreditation Standards for Acute and Critical Access Facilities, Psychiatric Hospital and Behavioral Health Programs.
Mr. Blahnik is the Chief Operating Officer for a mental health hospital system in addition to serving as a surveyor. He earned a Bachelor degree from The Ohio State University.
