What are the Joint Commission staff meeting standards? Are they required in every department of the hospital?
There is no standard that directly says you must have staff meetings, but looking at LD.03.04.01, there is a mandate for effective communication. Surveyors sometimes encounter angry employees who say something about management. As the surveyor explores the issue, they may inquire about how communication occurs. If staff said our manager or department head never meets with us, they could score this LD standard.
