Is Self-Assessment Allowed in the Staff Competency Validation Process?

A competency self-assessment can be part of the validation process but you can’t assess your own competence.  Someone will still need to observe you, test you and more.  It stands to reason that the person that performs the competency assessment has to be competent themselves.
