Do you have non compliant hospital elevator wraps? The Joint Commission started score facilities when they didn't follow this standard.

We discussed the “From the Field Directors” first issue topic last blog post about spare circuit breakers.  This week we will discuss the second issue— “noncompliant hospital elevator wraps.”

Hospital Elevator Wraps

Marketing and advertising departments have been using these wraps to display messages or ads for a while, but now they all must be UL approved.  This topic was discussed last June in EC News, but COVID-19 took precedence and put it on the back burner in July, so subsequently surveyors were instructed to only advise on them.

However, this new article now indicates that scoring has already started January 2021.   If your organization chooses to use these advertising/informational wraps on your elevators, you must be able to provide documentation that they are either UL 10B or UL 10C rated.
